See here: http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showpost.php?p=312744&postcount=6

The price was £97.52 inc VAT the last time I enquired with Mitsi but Camskill could supply the same part cheaper at the time.

Is there one available from a breaker? I know I'm getting the gearbox mount from Carl to complete my set for upgrading, may be worth seeing if he can supply the driver's side one...

Funny... after your post here I've checked online status of mine delivery, and guess what? Released from customs and waiting for payment of duty and handling.
Have they been on holidays, or what? I mean customs...

i'm told there was a huge backlog over christmas, basically customs 'stopped for christmas' but the inbound cargo didnt! i have not noticed this before. Add to that the weather just after christmas probably choking the flow coming out of the bonded warehouses, so it has been taking ages to get stuff!

Cheers,

Ben.

Wow, that was messed up.

Just remember that having the one stiffer mount means you are going to be loading the other three much more. I wouldn't leave it too long before doing the others given the state that one was in.

That looks tidy :) Tell me, am I right in saying that you went for this kit: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120496128970#ht_1030wt_941

from the looks of it, that covers the mount and each side of the engine bay, as well as the front and rear mounts?

thats the one but if you do buy it remember you will get hit with a £24 customs charge

Nice one - the customs charge isn't a problem. :)

still £90 for four mounts is better than the stealers £120 for one

Just remember that having the one stiffer mount means you are going to be loading the other three much more.

Not true. If it we're, then conversely replacing one of the mounts with a weaker / broken one would put less load on the others, which isn't the case. Quite the opposite.

Think of it this way, if you had a weight hanging from 2 bungy cords (a bit like a child's swing) and you replaced one of the bungy cords with a piece of rope (the same length as the bungy when it was stretched under the load of the weight), the load on the remaining bungy wouldn't change, and nor would the load carried by replacement rope.

If you added more load, the rope wouldn't stretch (well, it would be negligible) and the bungy would, but the increase in load would still be spread evenly across them. :)

But I still think you should change the other mounts, and the engine will not move evenly (like the load in the example above), it will skew. But not because the other mounts are loaded or moving more, but because your new mount is loaded the same, but moving less

LOL! :) Puts me in mind of that Morcambe and Wise skit with Andre Previn: "I'm playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order..."

but at this point it aint gona be any worse than the f**ked mount taking no weight
