Braces???

/Hmmm well im wondering if theres any one who knows if there is a law:-policema or somehting restricitng people making their own braces? custom ofcourse..

im considering maing my own for my personal legnums,the Viento and VR4,i have 1 under Subframe Cusco Brace but its seen better days,so i want to make my own..

the next question is why alloy? why not Stainless maby?
any help or uselfull info will be greatly apreciated..

All I can think of is it will affect how low you can have the car.

Exactly, my point is though, you have to be careful that the brace doesn't go lower than the 100mm above the ground or whatever it is.

Well that's true, you can get away with a lot of things if you get certification.

well they will both ned certs due to the coils going in so it might jsut be sweet then??

I would suggest that they used Alloy/steel to make them as it would be stronger than Stainless..

Also it would be hard to recreate the grade of alloy/steel used to make them.

It should be possible to make them, however they are basically strengthening the chassis, and if the materials are not up to scratch, then they will just bend/buckle.

Also remember, if your cars will be as low as your last one you WILL ground the lower arm brace going around the hills, and most likely over speedbumps in town....

id like lower arm braces, just that most NZ roads just don't agree with them at all.
