But need for approval in Germany, a COC document or EEC approval. (EU certificate of conformity)
Otherwise I have for everything on the car have an expertise that would cost me around 2,500 €, and I have no guarantee of approval.

Kenan, it might be worth you talking to Beastlee on here, who is enjoying the trials and tribulations of owning a VR4 in germany, as are a couple of owners.

Not sure what approval you'll be able to get, as the VR4 was never officially sold in Europe.

Thanks, I've only read about in brochures that it could order the VR4 even officially in the UK from 1999-2000. And UK is indeed an EU COUNTRY!
Have not you any emission levels, such as Euro 2.3 or 4?
That's my problem with the German TUV,) (approval.
I need a document where it say what for emission levels of the VR4.
ps.Beatless working with NATO, and therefore he must not allow his VR4 in Germany :(

European emission standards define the acceptable limits for exhaust emissions of new vehicles sold in EU member states. The emission standards are defined in a series of European Union directives staging the progressive introduction of increasingly stringent standards.

Currently, emissions of Nitrogen oxides (NOx), Total hydrocarbon (THC), Non-methane hydrocarbons (NMHC), Carbon monoxide (CO) and particulate matter (PM) are regulated for most vehicle types, including cars, lorries, trains, tractors and similar machinery, barges, but excluding seagoing ships and aeroplanes. For each vehicle type, different standards apply. Compliance is determined by running the engine at a standardised test cycle. Non-compliant vehicles cannot be sold in the EU, but new standards do not apply to vehicles already on the roads. No use of specific technologies is mandated to meet the standards, though available technology is considered when setting the standards. New models introduced must meet current or planned standards, but minor lifecycle model revisions may continue to be offered with pre-compliant engines.

In the early 2000s, Australia began harmonising Australian Design Rule certification for new motor vehicle emissions with Euro categories. Euro III was introduced on 1 January 2006 and is progressively being introduced to align with European introduction dates.

Hi Kenan, apologies for not replying to you before. As Steve says, your best option is to speak to Beastlee on here as he did this recently.

Beastlee is registered in the German forum.
But since he is an employee NATO, he does not need to register his car in Germany.
But I need that, otherwise I can drive the car here, I do not.

Hi Kenan!

Ich bin Stefan und auch aus Deutschland. Aus welcher Ecke von Deutschland kommst Du? Was willst Du mit nem VR4 machen?

LG Kenan

Hi Kenan!

You have PM... :D By the way, get a paid up member on here. It is very helpful, a lot of DIY-tips and workshop manuals. ;) It's worth every cent of the 20 pounds
