Hi!

Ive just bought a galant elegance, all is good with it except for one thing.

The drivers seat belt doesnt go all the way back after i take it off.

Is this a common thing? I know it happens quite often on the Colts.

Is there a way to fix this or should i be looking for a new seat belt?

Many thanks

Mike

What you might find is, and i will get the wording completely wrong here but here goes....

Have a look see where the belt goes into a retaining hole near the driver side right ear. When the belt feeds through the plastic and down the B pillar, there usually is a build up of grime in there. If this is the culprit, then use a flathead screwdriver or a blade (carefully) to remove the grime and that should free up the belt a little.

pull it all the way out, theres probably a twist in it.

That was indeed the problem!

Cant quite pull the seat belt out far enough though to get it untwisted. Will have to probably pull the trim off at the weekend to sort it.

Thanks for all the advice :)
