DESCRIPTION:

Hi there, my husband bought this beautiful car a few years ago and we're both sad that now the time has come to sell it...and I'm afraid I've been left with that job (and I'm not that used to using forums so sorry about the ENORMOUS photos!) so you may have to bear with me slightly!

We bought it from a club VR4 member and I believe the owner before him was also a club VR4 member, so some of you longtimers on this site may well recognise it! As the member we bought it from was, I feel, slightly better with words than me, I have to confess that I have used some of his original advert he posted on here as I think it says it all. Any questions please just get in touch and I'll try to answer them as best as I can!

This really is a special, special car!!!!

4wd, 280bhp 2.5 V6 twin turbo tiptronic. Indigo blue, 81,500 miles, rare one of 50 Mitsubishi UK official network cars, black leather/carbon interior, MOT, serviced this year, all bills. The facelifted 4-wheel drive VR4 was officially imported by Mitsubishi between 1999 and 2001. Only 50 estates were brought into the UK to be SVA'd, rustproofed to European standards, and sold through Mitsubishi dealers with full UK Red Zebra warranty. Any Mitsubishi main dealer will be able, and more importantly, willing, to service this car, be able to use their diagnostic equipment on it, and can access spares using the chassis number as it's an official dealer network car.

Specification
Body is finished in Indigo Blue, a very deep almost pearl metallic blue, turning shades of purple or black in certain lights. It's wood-free inside – the rarer carbon dash, original black leather in perfect condition with embossed 'Ralliart' logos on the headrests, full leather Nardi Torino wheel, and the proper Ralliart logo'd black velour carpet mats. Load cover, cargo net, tools, everything is there. Factory black 'limo' glass, rare roof rail delete option, and AYC (Active Yaw Control rear diff with three-bar dash display as fitted to the Mitsubishi EVO), making it Type 'S' specification. No sunroof. Gearbox is the INVECS II Porsche-designed tiptronic, the most intelligent and responsive autobox I've used. The car was fitted with 18" BBS RX Alloys from new. Kenwood radio/cassette and 10 disc CD Changer as supplied from new. Speakers are factory original.

Security
Catagory 1 Cobra alarm with total close (with Thatcham certificate).

Bad points
There are numerous fine scratches to the paint, some stone chipping and gravel rash to the bonnet, plus small (5p size) bits of the paint have flaked from the plastic wheelarch trims and have been touched up. There is a small parking ding (1" long dent) on the lower rear quarter behind the rear wheel, and two tiny pinpoint 'Tesco' dents on the passenger door panels. The BBS wheels are very presentable in their original paint but have collected a few kerb scuffs and scrapes.

Modifications
This car has never been modified apart from a cat back JP stainless exhaust (fairly throaty but quiet and boom-free inside the car), plus an oil filter adapter plate is fitted on the engine to allow extra gauges (oil temp, pressure etc) to be installed - we never got enough bottle up to cut the dash to fit them. The standard catalytic converter is fitted for MOT emissions compliance, but the car comes with a cat bypass pipe, which should raise the standard facelift-spec 280 bhp closer to the magic 300.

History
The car was run by one of Haywards Heath Mitsubishi's directors (it has the H-H front number plate and the original Ralliart large rear numberplate), and has a full stamped service history, with 14 stamps in the Ralliart service book - all either main Mitsubishi dealer or recognised Evo specialist, and every single receipt since new in an A4 ring binder nearly two inches thick.

This is probably the best example you'll find for sale, very quick and capable, arguably in the best colour/trim combination, a rare 1-of-50 UK Ralliart estate with all the history. Please, no test drives without proof of insurance, no tyre-kickers, messers or canvassers, no cheques or African priests who have millions trapped in a bank account somewhere. Thanks
