I just insured my saaaab.

To add my sister, who may drive it... full clean licence, 20 yrs driving, lives in Sheffield, added £40 to the premium ! /help

To add Maggie... full clean licence, 20 yrs driving, lives in Hemel, lowered the premium by over £100 !! Why's that??

I know the answer.......... & It wasn't the answer I was expecting ! /toycar

Insurance - simple to understand....

It's compulsory - your over a barrel

They demand money - avoid making payments for claims

Pay as little as possible if they do pay out, eventually

Or write off the vehicle so no hire car and then pay next to nothing as valuation

You get screwed!

Thats insurance!

Any questions?

Because Maggie is your partner and would care about the car, but Glyn bing your sister could be more like you.

Thats right. When I put Dee on mine my premium went down even though, as the broker said, her claims record went over the page.

Adding a partner always lowers the premium they see you as a more serious settle down type of driver with potential responsibilities of kids in the near future etc rather than a boy racer batchelor. My friend works for an insurance company, he told me to just add a female friends name to my car to get about £20 off. They don't check if you are in a relationship lol.

Sorry. I know your post in it's entirety was serious, but I have met the Stupid Grey Haired Old Man!!!!

Seen him on track days with no brakes
Seen him with neons and strobes
Seen him with a bottle of NOS
Seen him in many ways, but never one that conforms to the description above!

PMSL!

Its is because partner are the norm
Sister is not
I had it with the mother

My policy me and wife add mother cost about £75 on a £300 prem
however it reduced hers by putting me as and additional

Insurance said hers was reduced by adding a driver a 2 was a norm
mine increased as it was out of the norm

A few correct answers there!

Yes.....It's because of being in a relationship. Swinton insurance's survey say a partner is less likely to claim against you than an outsider. daft thing is though....I see my sis a few times a week, & Maggie a few times a year! /Hmmm
