Bettle run is 72 years and sold 22,300,000
where as the 32 years for the escort and 20,000,000 ( ifran to 72 year prehaps 45,000,000)
that to me makes the escort prhap a better selling car

The best selling car of all time in it's initial year was the Mustang.

Possibly the lowest number of cars sold per make was the "shamrock", Initially made for the US market, 8 were made before they went out of business.
