My Winning Turquoise Manual 1996 VR-4 Legnum will be going up on trademe in about 2 weeks if there is no interest in the club.

It will have a new warrant on it when sold, it ran out about a month ago! The registration expires in May 2010.

Also forgot to say that it has a Dynatron 5 star alarm

I bought it about 7 months ago cheaply as it's engine had blown when the previous owner had forgotten to put the oil sump plug on after an oil change!

The odometer shows 183,xxxkm and to be honest the body looks like it has done a bit more than that! There are numerous scratches and little dents all over it. The rear bumper and rear panel on the passengers side are pushed in, the bumper could be popped out but the rear panel does need a bit of work.

Mechanically it is in great condition. It has the engine from a 2001 VR-4 with about 110,000km on it which started up for the first time after being installed into the car with no tappet noise at all. To this day about 7000km later it still hasn't tapped once! It goes very well for a stock car, produces plenty of power and is very nice and smooth.

When I installed the engine it also got a new EVO 8 clutch (better than a VR-4 one at holding power) and all of the oils including gearbox, clutch, brake, transfer case and all the rear diff oils were changed. The engine oil needs to be changed again but otherwise everything is great. It has new brake pads and two new Mitsi straight lower arms at the front.

It will be in completely stock condition, with stock interior, exhaust, engine, intercooler and so on. It has roof racks and monsoon shields. One of the shields is broken but I have a new one to replace it.

The one thing I'm not sure about at the moment is the wheels and tyres. It currently has facelift style 16x6.5" stock wheels on it with 225/50/16 tyres. The tyres are bridgestone adrenalins and have only done 1500km, they are virtually brand new. If your offer is towards $6k I might bundle these wheels and tyres with it, if it closer to $5k I'll try and find some cheapies to give you :)

The main selling point of the car is obviously the fact that it is a manual VR-4 in a very unique colour, only 98 were built in this colour ever!

Is anyone interested or have any friends interested in the car?

Those are my old rims, so if they are in the same condition, they should be in mint condition, with a mark on one rim only. :)

Nice price there Brad. :)

Cool thanks guys!

Jeremy, in fact that is why I want to keep them, they are in very good condition and have only done 60,000km or so, whatever your car had done plus about 500km!

It has a turbo timer too but I've never used it because they aren't needed at all with our water cooled turbos.

Jeremy - you know it'd make a good civic coupe replacement :D

Here are the wheels it will be sold with. The wheels are 17x7" 40mm and have 215/45/17 tyres on them. The tyres are Continental Sport Contact 2's and they are very good tyres with quite a bit of tread on them. It feels much sharper on these than the 225/50/16 Bridgestone Adrenalins.

They do suit the colour of the car quite well.

can vouch for the contisports too, I had a set of them in 205/55 R16 on my Legnum and they gave a good ride. They work real well in the wet due to their longitudinal grooves (that's all the grooves they have really)
