and then import charges on top of that too dont forget.

last time i bought in from Japan postal charges incl import duty came to £80. im sure the box it came in wouldnt be too much bigger than a defi gauge box too!

Miller: We don't really get any import charges here, unless it is over about $300, depending on what the item is of course. Even then it's only 12.5% for the GST, but car parts are generally fine up to about $4-500.

Taylor,

Have a chat to Mac @ 41.co.nz, he got me some defi sensors from Japan, and the shipping was included in the price, and was pretty reasonable..

Though I have just logged into my RHD account and with EMS shipping to NZ, the price is $28AUD or $35NZD including the shipping, so isnt that bad.. :)

Taylor, if you drop by sometime with the gauge, we could head to globalpc or the like and get the parts to MAKE a cable for less than that.

Yeah that was going to be my next step, I have repaired the one that was extremly munted. (about and hour and a half infront of a soldering iron :( )seems to be working ok for the moment. Just thought if someone was getting a package over they could add a cable on and id pay them.

if we could find the right end plugs it wouldn't be too hard to make them in NZ.. and make a bit of dosh
is there a code of any sort on the plugs?

No there's not. There just really tiny 4 pin plugs. Like really tiny. When solderin them it was difficult not to let them fill up with solder. Il go down to jacar tomorow and have a look and see if i can find somethig similar

We'll be able to get the right connectors AND crimp pins from RS or farnell.
