DESCRIPTION:
It’s a sad day, I'm putting my Legnum up for sale.
I really don’t won’t to but cannot afford to use it as my daily commute (30mile round trip) also the wife can’t get insured on it as she’s under 25, so means we can’t swap cars.

2.5 V6 twin turbo VR4, Auto, elec windows, elec moon roof, elec mirrors, AC, climate control, PAS, ABS, Traction control, AYC, It is completely standard so hasn’t been messed about with, no rust, it has a few scratches as any car of this age has but nothing major, Mitsubishi 16” alloys, grey cloth interior which is in good condition. Mechanically the car is sound, starts on the button every time and has been amazing during this crazy snow. It has the typical tappet noise on start up as most v6 Mitsubishis have but goes away within a minute.

damnit.... why are all the legnums 150miles + away from me :(

btw for some reason (check it m8) i was getting large quotes for legnum

£880 full comp, 0 no claims (using company car so 0 no claims built up)

just for a laugh i added the mrs to it, provisional holder for 1 month.
my quote went down to £704 and £702, admiral and elephant.co.uk

thats £180 cheaper and legally my Mrs who has never been behinf the wheel of anycar can get behind a Legnum(with "L" plates) and go for a crash, cough! I mean spin...

everyone else wanted £1700+

Yep pics and millage will be added tonight, was ment to do it last night but got in really late.

Sardine - Basicly they told me that thay wont insuer a under 25 on a turbo car, i tryed admiral as thats who i was with before but thay just said no thay dont insure gray imports grrrr, its crazy so shes going to keep her vectra V6 for now and next year when she turns 25 we might get another one or a evo.

That doesn't sound right. I looked into insuring an import (all sorts of'em, all japs) and Bell and elephant (both belong to Admiral group) would insure, no sweat. Just pick the right one off the list. They even insure stuff like Skyline GTR.

I'd try Adrian Flux. they used to be a bit pricey but lately I've submitted a quote for Aristo V300 and they wanted 1300 for it (everyone else 2500+).

It was only admiral that said no as it was a grey inport, as i wanted to swap the insurance from the vectra over to cover the VR4.
most other companeys where saying either no shes to young or around £1500, even sky insurance said the same thing.

didnt try elephant as gave up after most of the other big companeys said no.

i travelled 500 mile round trip twice for my legnum ,1k of driving but totally worth it .you cant wait for a legnum to turn up round the corner or you will never own one / decent one.

I totally agree..

but!!!!!!!!

when you dont have a car and you smile at your sister to take you then the 1K miles dont look so good :D

Umm I'm insured with Admiral right now try there website and choose...

Make Mitsubishi
Model Galant
Type Galant v6 vr-4(i
type 2498cc 5 door estate 1996-

and your away

The (i stands for (import) but there web interface can't cope with the long name.

If you have a galant rather then legnum choose estate get a quote number phone to buy and point out that you have the sedan version - they've never turned my business away.

In short don't say legnum as the computer says no.

Epic bump !!

We're moving in June and really need this gone by then. After some ridiculous pay problems with work we've not been able to get it MOT'd, however, if we find ourselves with a spare £50 it'll get done. No gurantees though.

I'd love to keep it, but another baby means bigger car !!!

Come on... someone must want it.
