Ive got a 2003 galant elegance 2.5 v6 and the front o2 sensor has failed.

the main dealer wants £227 to replace it. Im happy to replace it myself. Ive replaced the one on my colt before without to much hassle.

Couple of questions though.

Can someone recommend a suitable replacment part?

How fiddly a job is it to replace? im guessing there isnt going to be a huge amount of space to work in!

Cheers
Mike

I think any universal one will be OK.
Try to find universal NTK 4-wire (0-1V) sensor. NTK is part of NGK range. Usually those sensors have 2x grey, white and black wires.
IMHO: that's the cheapest option.

is this the right part?

Can anyone confirm that there are two front lambda sensors on the 2003 6a13?
If there are im tempted to replace both at the same time.

Seems all right, seller refer one to Galant as well.

Yes, there are 2 front o2 sensors in Galants with 6A13 engine post 1999. Each sensor for each bank.

The O2 sensors turned up today! Nice and quick service!

They have come with crimp connectors already attached to the wires and heatshrink as well.

Quick question though. I dont have a crimping tool. Can someone recomend one please?
