New here, just bought a 1996 Legnum Vr4. Payed 5k nzd for it and its got 160,000km on the clock so from looking around now maybe I could have got it cheaper. Got the nice leather interior and definitely a big change from a 94 Mitsubishi Chariot 4G63.
Previous owner didn't know when cam belt was last done so I'm guessing I should look at getting that replaced soon and not sure about any of the other service history either.
Seems to be a lot of good information on this site though which should come in handy if I have any problems.
Welcome aboard :) Pics of your vehicle are mandatory :) What sort of leather interior do you have, black or tan?
As for the cambelt - try look for a tag somewhere in the engine bay which may indicate it being done. Could also try looking on the cambelt cover which is a black plastic cover on the left side of the engine viewed from the front).
There is indeed plenty of information here - probably the most comprehensive English language site in the world. Most of it however, is tucked away in the members section (NZ$30 for a yearly subscription plus discounts on certain products at certain outlets :) :)

It's the tan leather and car itself is silver. Will take some pictures but everything on it is stock apart from a turbo timer. Wanting to put a bigger exhaust on maybe but got no idea what to get and where to take it to get done yet. Will look into the members section but think I'll wait a month and hope the car doesn't die first. Had a bad experiance with a high km Subaru Legacy that I payed a couple thousand for and it started dying the day after I got it and by the time I sold it for $600 it wouldn't even start.
Was also thinking about putting a new sound system in but I think I'm happy with the factory stereo and speakers at the moment, anything is better than my previous car which I used the built in music player on my GPS because smoke started pouring out of the radio.
