There is a place called VIS body kits that sells them. They are from america though and a completely different supplier than what Don was using.

And buying from US you'll end up paying quite massive duty/tax fee. Overall, price will go up to 30% - 40%, so be aware.

Tax/duty are the same once the goods come from outside the EC.

Of course they are. But also they are calculated upon custom declaration created by seller. That's the point. Same goods can fall into different duty areas such as tunning parts, or replacement parts, hence calculated duty may differ.
From my experience VIS cf bonnet which I bought from US was declared as "car tunning" (or similar category, can't remember) and I've paid hell a lot of money. My luck was at that time pound-dollar exchange ratio was extremally good.

Having purchased numerous items from the US and even more from Asia, my experience has been thus ;

From the US, every single item has been pulled by Customs, delayed and charged with duty.

From China. Malaysia, Hong-Kong, Slovenia et. al., every single item has arrived directly at my front door (not stopping for a 'pound of flesh' on the way !)

I now try my utmost to avoid anything from the States. It costs more AND has been tainted by a Yank !!

VIS now make the Erebuni style bonnet like mine. It's only $500US + shipping and looks to be better made than the Erebuni. I know what I'll be ordering before I leave my Tax-Free haven!

Anyone in Europe want a group buy? If I could ge the shipping down enough I'd consider buying one to replace my current one then selling this one off cheap.

Ah, my bad. Might be interested depending on the final shipped price. Will be getting quotes for a respray on my erebuni bonnet soon. If its too high then its cf all the way!

Stefan,

I looked over their products at Speed2009, in Rosmalen NL, last year the bonnets were quite good but I found the prices were very expensive. They do have some stuff that I want though....when I get some spare cash :)

Although ive not announced it yet, there will be a good few bits from my car for sale. The bonnet being one. And as its a seibon bonnet, its lighter than the chinese ones, but only has one vent.

If your interested give me a PM

I got a bonnet in the group buy, not a carbon one though.
When i picked it up I thought it looked good, but when i took it to the paint shop to show them the bloke said it was the best one he had ever seen!! good shape, no ripples or lines! so im well happy!
Well worth the wait!
