Bruce was a Kiwi

Yeah I know that but the car's only really a McLaren in name only. It was designed by a South African and powered by a German engine :)

well sort of, but its still bears his name, and he always thought that big gt racers should be road cars, hence the m6a
The f1 just followed his philosophy perfectly, does it need it to go quickly? no? well don't fit it then

Don't know, maybe it just means that really is low volume!? Hehehe, country of origin and engine size are correct.

Not sure how many 6.1 litre V12 BMW engines there are floating around to make a kit car :)

I'm not trying to nitpick here but I believe it actually follow's Gordon Murray's philosophy more closely than Bruce's.

Gordon specified that the main weights - engine, fuel and occupants had to be as close to the centre of gravity as possible and that the driver's seating position should be in the middle.

You are right, it does bear his name though...

Indeed, 6064cc, made in the UK in 94, etc.

Probably because the ltsa doesn't recognise mclaren as a normal manufacturer.

I've seen two now, I saw XP4 about three times back in the late 90's at car shows.

your right, gordan did the design philosophy, but it happened to tie in with what bruce wanted from a road car back in the late 60's

It was completely stock of course and a medium silver, similar to Hamilton Silver. It had a big F1 LM style rear wing on it. I don't know if it was an LM wing or something from another car, but it was massive!\

Heath, LFA? Are you sh1tting me?

Hang on you're the one with Germany's finest white elephant car :)

Always liked the F1 (except the 3 seater thing !) and generally older supercars, but as far as modern cars go the LFA is hard to beat :bananadan

The 3 seater thing is the best part of an F1 :)

As for the LFA, I'd prefer a 599, Murcie, SLR, the new McLaren, the new ZR1, and about 10 other cars over a lexus with an auto!
