Looking to change the spoiler on my galant for something a little less "ott". Does anyone know what other spoilers are likely to fit? Heres what it looks like at the mo -

Cannot see picture...

...but go for std vr-4/sport style...

Lower and with brake light - on vr-4 example at least...

I confuse myself as well :|

Im in the process of getting some quotes for having the bonnet resprayed due to the cracks in the paint and the ripples. The spoiler could also do with being sanded down, smoothed to remove the little ripples in the paintwork and then resprayed so im getting quotes for that. But im toying with the idea of having something a little more subtle, but still aftermarket on the back instead

Personally, I'd go for a VR4 style spoiler which comes with a third brake light built in. The accessory spoiler Mitsubishi called the 'Sport' spoiler was exactly the same in every way, except it didn't have a built in third brake light.

Personally (part 2!) with a VR4 style spoiler, you need the built in third brake light as it is really hard, driving as a following vehicle, to see the third brake light in the rear window.

Personally, I think the car looks superb with the wheels and spoiler that are fitted in the photo :d

Theres one in the rear windscreen? Im guessing the ralliart strip is covering it up.

I do love the 18"s, but its on the winter wheels at the moment -
http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc179/gib786/15012010099.jpg as the 18"s needed new tyres plus coilovers, since its sitting so low on the b12 kit

Ah! As that's a VR4 it doesn't come with a rear windscreen 3rd brake light! That would only be in the standard, factory fit, spoiler! Sorry! :upsidedow If it was a non-VR4 then there would be one in the rear screen.

I think the VR4s lacked them as the facelifts (at least IIRC) had options for a rear wiper, so the mounting on the screen for that would have been in the way of the 3rd brake light.

As others have said, the car does look very very good as it is, but to my mind the stock vr4 saloon spoiler looks too much like some one went " **** we haven't fitted a spoiler, ahh feck it that'll do" which is why when I had my saloon I went for the optional V6 spoiler,

which I think follows the lines of the saloon better.

If you really want to change it RED who you got the car from has a standard one for sale. Pobably the one that came of your car.

But also agree with what Wayne & Hoody have said. The car looks great the way you got it.
