Sh*t happens in 3s

first of all i need to get a new wheel bearing, and ON THE WAY TO WORK this morning the car didnt seem right so i stopped at the shop for some bru and as i passed the front of the car i could smell something very strange so i opened the bonnet and there was no coolant in the reservoir/Hmmm (checked the levels at the weekend) so i topped up with water and headed to work, only having to stop again. opened the bonnet and there was steam coming from the top of the rad with blotches of coolant over some pipes, the rad was still full of coolant and the reservoir was still full with the water i topped up but i checked the oil level and it was quite low so i topped up and went to work where i was handed my 2 weeks notice:bigcry: because we're running out of contracts. got home and i could still smell that strange smell, checked everything again and all the levels were as i left them.
is there anyone fairly close to me that could have a look because my funds are just about to run out and i dont have a clue

Sounds like your rad cap might have had an issue? If so, it's cheap to fix.

Taking the cap off probably free'd it, and now it's working properly.

To be safe, I'd get analysis done on the coolant to make sure you've not knackered a headgasket, though.

aint that bad andy, but hoping to have a new radiator by the weekend, get that done, then the bearing,then an oil change, then maybe the polybushes and a bloody good clean. all should be done by monday:happy: so ill be all ready for the 27th:beerbang: :runkest: :runkest: :runkest: :runkest:
