Saw this today before I went to work on GMTV.

Leeds University have done a study on people that use forums & social networking sites and found that most are depressed or will become depressed.

Now the internet is'nt good for you.

What next do they not have anything better to spend there money or time on.

What they didn't establish, however, is whether most of the people are on the internet because they are ALREADY depressed.

Furthermore, I believe they also didn't indicate what sample they used.

Hmmm, how could such a reliable source of information mislead us?

Recruitment was via links on social networking sites

So in fact all it really proves is that 1600ish of the people who tend to respond to links on social networking sites are depressed.

What a load of old tosh we're fed these days!!!!!!

And the demographic of those people who respond to links on social networking sites?

I'd imagine 15-18 year olds who are under pressure from exams, finding a job, suffering from celebrity envy, peer pressure etc etc. And also probably don't know what true depression is.

I reckon any idiot could rig together some sort of headlining poll with todays media craving for such sensationalism. Bloody idiots.
