Hasn't swinks done this?

He has, but Swinks is in Europe and Q in New Zealand.

So a better option for those in that region of the world.

Nice job done, but again not my taste.

Swinks did projectors with angel eyes incorporated in the projectors, these are just angel eyes fitted to standard lights.

Did you use something like this: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Car-parts-accessories/BMW/Accessories/auction-270389473.htm ?

First I did easier option: LED ones. Good enough in dark, but not strong in a daily light. Then just changed to CCFL.
Apart of disassembling light clusters and drilling little hole in morrors for rings feed, there's no other job required. I've used to glue them stright onto to so called mirrors. There was epoxy clear adhesive, glued in 4 points.
I've found that CCFLs require more fiddling (hi-volt converter) and are much more fragile.

yea but the ccfl was way worth it..it looks way better to me tho,and is bright enough for daylight for me too,yea the fiddly work is a pain in the arse tho....

Off topic a bit...are the corner lights cover tinted black? I want to get rid of the amber cover but don't know how (also scared of breaking them)...

So if they are tinted then I can always go that way :o)

thats just gay!!! theyr not CCFL thery LED!!

Knutz: to do so you need to remove the clear cover carefully then unscrew the amber item form the light then put it back together

I think they look alright. Do the CCFL ones need any special electronics with them? The LED ones just require a resister to set the correct current. Also, you can get super bright LEDs these days which are just as bright as CCFL.

CCFL is a lot more complicated as well, it consists of a gas chamber with a cold cathode (CCFL = Cold Cathod Fluroescent Light)

What I'm trying to get at is, an LED solution can be custom made to exact specifications far cheaper and far easier than a CCFL solution.

A good example of which are the ones that have been introduced atop NZ police cars /yes

I'd like to have angel eyes but with the yellow-ish color like bmw have on their angel-eye-rings instead of the bright white or blue-ish color. Anyone has ideas on that?

BMW are LED ones, try search "daylight colour" not "white". I think same with CCFL rings. Cathode colour as "daylight" is more yellowish than cold "white", like with xenon bulbs 4300k more natural than 6000k.
