View Full Version : Xenon headlights

hi just bought a swet of xenons and they don't seem to work :censored: was wondering if i was fitting them correctly it seems simple enough i have cables that clip the bulb to the ballast and and a red and black to connect to plug on the car i connected all and i have no light was wondering if i need to connect it to the battery anybody have any idea's befor i break em or return em :censored: /hammer

Swap the red and the black wires around.

Glad you're pleased, but keep your old bulbs, as you might struggle come MOT time!

woop woop steve your the man just fitted me xenons all done seem a lil loose tho so a spacer is defo required as said in previous posts

If you use the plastic washers that came in the poackaging and trim them down a little, you can put them behind the HID bulb and use it to improve the clamping.

ive done that which is ok for a temp fix but was gonna make a 9mm spacer simalar to the stock part wish me luck for i aint got a clue

might butcher the stock spacer but not before i get a pair of replacments hey

I wouldn't bother, Karl: the huge spacers only need to provide a bigger clamping surface, which is what the washer is doing. Unless there is any movement in the bulb.....I can't see the benefit? You need to it to be as hard-up against the reflector as possible anyway!
