Failed MOT on...

Got someone to MOT it at last... (will write to Kwikfit and complain).

Just imported and now had its 1st MOT.

Failed on both steering gaiters and CO emissions (0.6%). Any advice on changing the gaiters and curing the high CO please?

Get the gaiters replaced.

Book the car in for the first MOT of the day and drive it nice and swiftly en-route to get the cat nice and hot.
It is a regular one for a few peoples here.

Is changing the steering rack gaiters myself a difficult/big job?
Also where can I get them from? Are they the same as the Galant?

camskill , quite easy to change just remove the track rod ends and slip em on , tbh for the £30 to get new track rod ends I'd put new ones on regardless

Changing the gaiters was easy, so just the high CO to sort out. Any more hints or is it all down to warming up the CAT?

drive it like you stole it and get the cat really hot before the test, this will really help.
