Oh yes, you see, now I have to hate you quite a lot as I had these in Gun Metal on the zed, and they really are very VERY mean wheels.

The GunMetal are actually really quite dark, so if you do want some contrast, it has to be bronze...however, as it's a black car, the GunMetal just looks mmmeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaan! All angles and om nom nom!

I bought these as I rated them as "wheels most likely to give me a semi" and damn it when they were on the car I had to keep going out and driving it.

I've still got the wheels in the loft: just need a car to fit 10" wide rear wheels.

No reason you can't get some for the VR4 Steve :2thumbsup

Have always loved these wheels since I first saw them.

I didn't want to influence the voting in any way, but I really am split 50/50 on which colour, but Shaz does not want the bronze. I have been warned there would be consequences if I order them :rifle:

You mean, other than the astonishing cost? :D

And TBH they'd look better on the Evo than the VR4. Evo 9 wheels are possibly the ultimate wheel for the VR4.

Just ignored that one, he probably mis-typed it as he was on his iPhone /lol

That's what I thought, but they are now available in 17 x 9 ET25 at a very reasonable price /yes

I said pink, tongue in cheek ..... Both colours are too common IMHO. It's like a blue scooby with gold wheels. Be different mate.

Spirit

Be different mate.

I think I can safely say we have been there and done that with the Jack Daniels VR4 ! If nothing else, anyone who had ever seen it has always remembered it.

The Evo gets very few looks.......and that suits us now /yes - I'm buying these wheels because we either need to refurb the Enkei's or buy new ones......and Shaz does not like the Enkei's anyway. We are not buying them to make a statement.

If I had a dark car I would choose gunmetal.

NOTE: similar colour to brake dust. Less cleasning required:
shhhhh ... don't tell Kieran

Probably bronze to break it up a little bit. But gunmetal would look pretty stealth, especially if you got the windows tinted as well.

Only just seen this, I would have voted gunmetal too. I think bronze is suited more to blue or green cars, hence I was pleasantly surprised when I got my Rotas as I had wanted gunmetal but they didn't have them in my size and fitment.

I quite like bronze too, but made a mistake with a set of bronze on my silver VI,
they only stayed on the car for a week! Grey is safe..
What size did you go for Pete..

Went for 17 x 9's mate......mainly due to the cost. The extra for the wheels and tyres would have added over £400 to the cost.

Good choice - take it from me 18's would be no good for tracking.

18's are great for the look, but they do reduce ride quality and increase steering effort from my experiences.

Personally I like the bronze - amazed Mr Kang hasn't changed the colour of his this week :)

Good man. Black on black looks tough! I had Matte Black SSR's on my old R34 loved the look!

Yeah thought that too, and changing tyres regularly as we do it was also the extra £150-200 a time that put me off anyway.

Nice contrast against a black car!

Thanks for the votes for bronze guys, I really like them too.

Please forgive me, in posting this thread it implies I actually had a choice.

That's a lie and I am ashamed of myself.

Shaz didn't want bronze, so it was never going to happen /lol

What would you of done if Bronze was the outright winner?

I hope they are the original Bee*R wheels that are forged and high quality, not the cheap cast knock off's that are very heavy and not as strong as the original. It is an EVO after all, not a saxo.

Sorry to disappoint, but they are only Rota GTR's. Could not justify double the cost.

Edit: But they do have a good reputation on the MLR and they are quite light apparantly.

The Rota Torques I have are 7kg per wheel on 17" I'm really happy with them and they seem very good quality.
