cant seem to see any markings on the springs, not sure if these are standard springs or its been lowered. I havent got a clue...lol
Does anyone have an eye for this... does this look lower than normal or same ride height as standard suspension.. wheels are 18".

Thanks in advance for any feed back.

Hard to say with the 18's.

What colour are the springs? That may help.

Thanks Brad, its been bugging me for a while looking at lots of photos, but still not knowing if its standard or not!
The ride is slightly bump, but my last car was slammed hard, so the vr4 feels lovely and smooth compared to that .. the last car so you could feel every single stone on the road and if you hit a pot hole you were worried it would shake a wing loose.

oK.....

After Jacking up the VR4 to fit the Bailey, I caught eye on the springs and remembered this thread. they were caked in salt/crap.

Note to self, trip to the ARC wash in christchurch will be on todays list of things to do.

anyway.... I cleaned off the springs and they are Black.

So...not Teins.. which it was advertised in having when purchased.

It got a print near the top of the springs which says "SHEEPDOG" with a pic of a sheep.. how strange.. never heard of this make before.

Has anyone else heard of it? just hope there ok and not some dodgy make.

Off to google now to do a search..

I've heard of sheepdog before. As I recall they made a nice exhaust for the Galant VR-M.

Just got back from the ARC wash, and the vr4 is very very shiney, but now its very very raining..typical!

Thanks for finding a link.

when I bought the car it did have a "sheepdog" sticker on the back...which was the first thing to go...as my first impression was the previous pre-import owner must of been some sort of jap farmer..?

now it all makes sense.

Ill try when its sunny to get a pic of the springs, I thought it was a sheep in the middle but its a dog..lol found a label/sticker to show you all the make.

Very interesting finding out about this company.. alot of oldskoolers remember it from 'back in the day' and 'when it was all fields round ere'

heres a random link to the sheepdog logo / sticker
