It's not an RS Four (http://www.neweraimports.com/carDetails.jsp?carId=449#pictures) though is it?

That is one very nice looking car, Was wondering why I liked the wheels so much till I realised they are the same as i have on my legnum.
Though a lot cleaner.

I know copying is suppose to be the greatest form of flattery and all that ..... but why did Crap$un copy a Volvo and not a German estate car ????

Thankfully Mitsi went for the latter with the Legnum !!!

That is quite a cool description of the car - only one typo ("leather") and heaps of photos (good thing).

In the interests of performance I think I would sacrifice my VR-4 for an RS Four.

A VR4 for an RS4?

only if you want to drop 30 horse and even more MPG!

of the C34, Laurel derived models, probably only the Autech 260RS which has the RB26DETT in 276bhp jap limit form, would be a match for the VR4 set up as stock, but they really are like hens teeth.

However, in terms of ease to tune, an RS 4 (230hp) with the RB25DET single tub motor would rapidly become much more powerful than most VR4 owners have the budget for, and remain mostly bulletproof too, it is a magic motor for affordable bolt on power, very very rewarding.

BUT, and its a BIG BUT, again only the Autech will carryanything like the corner speed to match a VR4, the RS4 is like a jelly in comparison to the tight drive and handling of the VR4, so it comes down to wanting either a drag car, or a fast car A to B,

only use a tuned RS4 in twisties with caution!!! haha!!

Ive had three RS4's in various specs, and varying handling packages, and they are good, very good, but the VR is a better all round car for sure, just more awkward and costly to extract big bhp from.

just my opinion of course...

why is the rs4 so different from the Autech both 4wd running R33 gtr running gear
Is the body strengthening that much it could not be retro fitted Not sure what was done . As the suspension brakes etc proberly changed anyway

I thought the rb25det fitted to some was ~276bhp which seem sim to the vr4

Shrew - to clarify, the Stagea RS4's even worse on petrol than the VR-4? What figures are we talking here?

Ooops - sorry that's the one I actually meant - the 260RS :p

RB engine....tuneable, Much?

Oh God, so much easier than VR's to tune eh?

Stuart, RS4's with the DET single tub 2.5 are only around 230bhp, and as greedy as the VR4's, feel heavy too, so drive a bit, Grandad, compared to even a stock VR4.

the DETT does certainly liven things up a lot, both initially and with comparible tunes with the VR4 mods, the DET and DETT will both be more rewarding.

Even if start with a 230hp DET, you would very easily overtake the HP Chaps with similar mods on VR4's, and have change in your pocket.

You've just got to make it stop and turn then, but not a huge issue really, and with the change you've got, you can got to the town on that bit too eh?

A good buy over the VR4, IF, you're going to tune i would say, but stock for stock, no.

as for the looks, i quite like em to be honest, but beauty, beholder, eyes an all that eh, and the choice of aftermarket styling is probably almost as good as for the VR's too.

VR4 is the understated but pretty girl with expensive taste that's fun to be with, and definitely want to marry.

Stagea the uglier sister with piercings and tattoos and a bit of weight...but is easy to be with, cheap to have fun with and rarely leaves you wanting more.
