Hi, Just got myself a VR-4 Saloon, Ralliart 2001, 1 owner, 29500 miles in perfect condition, very happy :-D, BUT, where the **** does the petrol go :rolleyes5 , never seen a car go through so much!
Read the forums for a while and figured it would go through some, but it still makes your eyes water the first few times filling up. Having said that though what a brilliant car to drive, never had so much fun
Haven't really done to much with it as yet, it already had uprated disks and pads on, so I've put 18's on, OZ Super Tourismo, had Sat-Nav put in, but probably most importantly had Road Angel fitted and hardwired!
Got a few other questions so I will try and post them in the right place, if I get it wrong bear with me :) I'll get it right eventually.

Steve

Try to imagine you have a 4 litre V8 in the bonnet and you will understand where it is going.

:welcome: Hi Steve

I thought I had a hole in the tank ;) :rolleyes5 The VR4 is a delight and an addiction-the downside is lots of petrol but the upside is you get to make new friends with your local Shell cashiers :sunny: :-D

Well looks like i'm higher up the fuel chain, I had the chairman of shell round for tea yesterday. I had to provide the digestives too, tight mare.

Not that bad Steve, certainly no worse than my 24v 3 litre Vauxhall Senator. Try checking the handbrake's off!!

I'm getting the 2.5ST Legnum next week, so fuel won't be as bad for me, but then I used to have an Isuzu Bighorn with a 3.2 Petrol V6, a 75 litre tank would last me 400kms. I have a diamante with the 2.5 V6 as well though, so I know what fuel economy to expect, probably around 500km I reckon, but I don't mind so much, cos after living in London for 10 years I know how expensive fuel is there, so now I am only paying $1.20 96 Ultra (about 45p) I don't mind.

How do, Steve,
The reason your motor sups alot of juice is because it needs a special additive called "grin juice"!.Mr Shell puts it in his optimax and everytime you put your right foot down it makes you grin from ear to ear!! :) :) .
Just bought the same spec motor as your but an estate off Nick Mann 2 mths ago, I had the same reservations but they soon fade,
to ease your mind 30+quid fills the tank that's why it disappears so quickly, my last motor had an 80litre tank, scarey filling that one up!. Would like to join you for that beer, I'm from Preston,
I looked at your motor at Garstang if it's the same one.
Bellas rodders!.
I'd like to see it now with your new wheels on.
See ya,
Al. :-D :beerclash
