high school applications

i suppose each authority is different but has anybody ever been throught the appeals process as they have returned my son and daughters applications today for completley random schools so i am in the process of preparing a appeal?

not personaly but a close friend has he wanted his two children to go to some posh school in Altringham but was refused due to been out of the "catchment "area so he appeald and guess what ....
the two of em was accepted woop woop. So go for it mate and don't take no for an answer just tell em come september the 2nd @ 9:00 am my kids will be here for regestration so you had better prepare yourselfs for that lol
