Have always liked these cars, preferred the early to mid 90s ones, like a mini 3000GT /GTO.

The 2010/11 models just released, very TT-esque but still a nice looker I think. Just a shame we don't get them here in the UK although do see a couple of imports now and then over here. I am guessing the eclipse is a USA exclusive...

Looking at the range, I wonder if they will ever bring back an AWD or turbo variant.

That front frille is a bit GTR-esque. Body shape is too TT-esque. Rear looks like a mix of the Crossfire and 350Z. Front lights look like the Hyundai Coupe!

Not for me unfortunately.

Probably try and torque steer you into a tree every time you leave the lights..

Not a bad looking car though.. Definately Hyundai Coupe meets 350z thing going on..

What a mess !

They've tried to put every sports car they could find into the design and come up with a b@$tard child !!!

Should sell well in the States then :)

When I was in the states last year we hired an Eclipse Spider....... I really liked the car, it was a very nice and comfortable drive but still retained that stifness in the suspension...... It had a straight four (Not sure of the size) and it did shift, nothing like the Legnum but still competative, I had a few nice challeges.....

In the pics above it doesnt seem to have changed to much, it looks as though Mitsi have added the "fighter jet"nose that there are fitting to all their models at the mo.........

I would deffinately consider buying one if Mitsi released it over here....... but it is front wheel drive, but then again most are these days, Type R, Focus ST, etc

I actually think that that exact shape has been out for at least a year as a facelift to the original that Isaac posted up. At least you can still get manual ones!

I can't help feeling it is a little unfair to suggest it is copying all those various coupes. It is very clearly a progression of it's design from the last 2 decades and in most cases the Eclipse had the shapes you are talking about before the cars mentioned.

However, not a car for me,

They have done 4WD Eclipses in the past - maybe that will return one day?

Hmm...V configuration engine - wonder if a 6A13TT would fit? :) Or a 4G63T?

More to the point, I wonder if it can be converted to RWD/4WD ........and the 3.8L V6 turbo'd :D

I quite like the new look, TBH.
