I am going with my good lady wife.

Its strictly spectator sport.....unless you have pre entered and paid!

Should be good for a laugh!

Sorry Heath, no pics !! I think Dave took some though.
It's not as good as Santa Pod, as It's just a wide open airfield. BUT............... there is one BIG advantage !!!
After you've done your standing 1/4 mile timed run, why stop ??? :rolleyes5 :$ I thought I was imagining things when I heard cars keeping on accelerating !!
The runway is that long, they have more timing lights miles down, so you can record your top speed !! :-b :-b
best one of the day was a 911. not a particularly quick 1/4 [ compared to a VR4 ] but recorded a 188 mph terminal speed !! now is that :-b or what ??

I got some video, but mainly of EVOs sprinting off the satrt on the handling track.

Did get one of a transit van doing a burnout before its 13.7 quarter mile :rolleyes5

Derek, the 911 didn't end up fastest......it was a Supra.........201mph! :rolleyes5

Who's brave enough to try & find the top speed of their VR4 ?? or GLS, or V6 .24 etc. I can feel a new "events" thread starting soon . :-b

Mathematically, you only need to be doing 153mph to be past the marks on the road, but you might still be in the frame ;) . I'm told ;) they don't see you travelling towards them at 140 :D

Only just found this reply - so I guess you & Dave will be going next time?

It's a bit of hike for us, especially on a Sunday, but you never know :)

I noticed a couple of peeps have posted their top speeds !! are these authenticated top speeds, or are they read from the speedometer on a quiet dual carriageway ?? :D
