some nice tasteful examples there (e.g. the orange 3rd one in.... simply beautiful lines :smitten: )
and others whereby ... dare i say it :lipseal ? .... look exactly what they probably are:
a typical yank rolling boom box :thumbsdow and would not be surprised in the least to hear that typo noise booming out of them  /hammer /duh
(which i had to mute even at laptop speaker levels for fear of taking a hammer to my beloved lappy :d )

if only more yanks would adhere to the chip foose /notworthy 'less is more' understated design principal :sad3: /duh

Personal choice and all that jazz. Some people like getting creative with their cars and spending bucketloads on lambo doors etc, others prefer them standard. I hate *chavved up as motors as much as the next person, but let the kids have their fun :D

*by chavved i mean the stupid saxos/corsa's etc with daft wheels, huge backboxes, and lexarse lights but with a piddly engine under the bonnet. Although quite a few members of my family refer to the vr4 as a "chav" car

I've already complimented gib re his car in a car detailing thread.
i reckon gib's work re his 'tasteful performance look' is just right
and knowing of the type of products he uses in detailing his car i'm 100% confident it'll be a stunning example to see in real life too.

i'm probably a lump older than gib but not so old that i don't appreciate a cared for 'tasteful modified' car such as his or other VR4's & Evo's & Impreza's etc.

and yup, i fully agree with gib's comments re the lambo door / tiny sooped up hair dryer mobiles. whenever i see 1 i just think ... c:censored: ck!

as an afterthought ...

i'm probably getting too close to becoming a 'grumpy old git' :sad3: :d
and forgotten wot it's like to be in my teens/early 20's and the probs re insurance premiums and fuel costs so i guess the kiddies in their 'hairdryer' mobiles have to start somewhere.

yup, i'd forgotten that 'when i was a lad' i was just like any other teenager into car's and was doing the obligatory car park 'thing' in a mk2 Escort RS2000
(whatdya know ... it was black too :2thumbsup boy did i love THAT car.... until it got nicked :bigcry: ).
