Hello, please if anybody have one for vr-4 of for evo 1-9, just interest one moment in similar construction when replace bearing in tail.

need for tightening torques

The closest I've ever seen was in the w5m51 manual. I've never seen a proper transfer case rebuild guide.

I had a copy of a transfer case service manul, but have since reformatted my computer. I found the link to it on here somewhere though.

bradc in w5m51 manual have no info about transfer case rebuild, and about rebuild transfer tail too :( , My friend rebuild transfer tail, replace bears but not sure tightening torques.

and some info about transfer, maybe it will interesting for club uk
it's about evo 4-6 transfer, but we have the same

I am not so sure about the tail shaft, though I suspect it won't be anything out of what you would do for an ordinary pinion gear.

The rest can pretty much be done by feel.

You need to get the gear contact pattern and backlash correct, then you need to get a bit of preload on the bearings. I was told that the standard bearing preload is very soft, and should be increased until the breakaway torque for the input is starting to get difficult by hand.
I haven't been running the transfer case long enough to make any comment on how good this is though, I will of course say something if my bearings blow up.

Kenneth but for play with contact pattern construction have spacers 30088S on image.

on my second car, ford transit, hub bearing preload while wheel difficult to rotate, and afer rotate nut of 90 grade back.

possible here the same.
