Any ideas ?

The sixth display digit (from right to left) LED is dead?

May as well quickly check the connections and stuff first though.

my guess is that its ment to be 200,008......they have fiddled with the odo when they sold it to make out that it had lower k,s....im assuming u bought it mid to late 65,000-88,000 or wotever and u clicked over the actaul 200,000 mark..

getting rid of the first digit, was an old trick they did on the soarer as well.......

Thats my 2 secs...

Correct me if im wrong..

How do you get to 200 000 without going through 100 000 first?

it doesn't.. As the 6th digit isn't lit.. It wouldn't show the 1***** or the 2***** !

I would see if i could find out if it is the 6th digit thats dead before i got a new Odo /yes

But then ? I would be severely pieced off knowing i'd be scammed for 100k /Grrr

So maybe just best getting another Odo :sigh:

Riceboy owns the car at 185,000, , before he sells he gets rid of the (1) 85,000 because he has friends in the "know" he sells at 85,000kms.......

Jonny buys the car at 85,000km, he clicks over to what the thinks is 100,000ks, which is actually 200,000 ks, so your your left with 00008kms

unfortunately it can be done.....like i said people were doing on soarers they had the exact same ODO....like we know they are very easy to take apart...

Car was imported into nz and 14,000km. Then there is full odometer history in nz from then onwards. I brought it at around 55,000km so i would say thats not the case. Plus the cars condtion doesnt reflect anything near 200,000km

Cut it in half and count the rings?

Otherwise, just other clues like wear and tear (steering wheel, pedals, etc.), any service stickers in the car and/or engine bay with Km figures on. TBH, 100,000 Km steps should produce some noticeable differences, I would have thought!

Yeah when i got the car it was like new anyway and the car is still in good condition so the ks to add up to the condition of the car and the ks done in nz look all fine and legit.

My money is its just a faulty LED.
