ok now that andy has his gt4 he will be looking to sell his galant now with the wifes father going to buy her a car when she passes her test im now considering the possibiliy of selling the legnum and buying the galant

just to move from the estate to somthing a bit more sporty/aggressive looking and the the manual galant leave more scope for higher power

Dont turn to the dark side! Galant owners are unable to carry a wardrobe or anything larger than a holdall :p

That JUB car looks yummy though :)

Manual gearbox you say...

Sound like an amazing car.

To be honest mate, if you are happy to make the swap, go for it, cos that Galant is a cracker! If the missus is getting a car and if the large load carrying gets shared between cars, then I guess it'll be ok. Also the 70mile journey in the manual will give better MPG but dont expect massive savings.

Andy's car is a very nice car but with your 2nd kid on the way the boot is no good for you.

I had the V6 galoon before the Leggie & the arms on the boot lid take up half the boot.

When we went on hols a couple of years ago with the V6 we got all the bags in (& you'll know there is a lot of bags when you have young ones) Put the buggy in so the boot was full. Tried to shut the boot & could'nt cause of the arms on the boot lid.

Kerry had to travel with a suit case at her foot & a couple of bags had to go at the kids foot.

That was the main reason I went for the Legnum.

You'll get great mpg from the golf. I had the passat 1.9 TDI sport & I used to get 600 miles to a tank & I'd have another one in a heart beat. The Golf would be a great 2nd car.

Going with what I'v seen our cars going for I think you would get 2/2.5K for your car & they seem to be taking an age to sell.

Buy the Galant, swap the good bits (recaro's, manual box, wheels etc) across to the Legnum and put the old stuff into the Galant then flick it. You get the best of both worlds :)
