After a good run, on my return home from having my transfer box and trans. cooler fitted (cheers Kev!), I found water bubbling in my header tank.

Might this be down to the radiator-cap issue ?

Yes..., but also:
- air in the system (not refilled properly)
- loosen/leaking hose (you're loosing coolant, air gets in)
- leak in new radiator
- worst nightmare: headgasket failure

Thanks. No, same rad. (I thought it was new, b.t.w.)

I'll be trying another cap on it tomorrow and shall report back after.

Update :

I've now done four 80 mile trips (motorways) and haven't topped-up the header tank, at all !! [Previous to fitting a new rad-cap, I'd have done it 4 times.]

Hopefully, it's sorted. /Banana

Cheers for the info, Subaru ETA, gives me a bit more confidence.
