So my VR4 has been declared a write off.. the engine looks in good condition and was running after the crash, and the rest of the car looks fine. Should I bother buying it back and parting it out? Would anyone be interested in any of the parts?

if the price you can buy it back for is worth it i would. no doubt you will recover your money pretty easy if they dont want to much for it

Yeah, that's kinda where I'm leaning at the moment. It all comes down to price really. There's a few parts on it that I want to get for myself, but there's nothing really all that expensive to replace.

well depending on how much they want surely engine diff gearbox etc would cover the costs? well you would wanna hope so anyways

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I've parted out a vr4 before and made money back on it.

I don't know what they're after yet. All I know is it was insured for $5700 and repair costs would have been $5000. If I offer $500 and they don't take it, can I make a new offer?

If you did get it Q, would I be able to grab a few things off it first? (pair of gauges, boost controller solenoid etc).
