do you always fit the shims?

I did with my red stuff pads.

A sticking caliper piston at the front cooked and cracked the pad so I'm now using cheap Camskill offerings.

The fronts did and rears still do make an annoying "clicking" with my grooved discs - like taping a bit of card to a bike so the spokes hit it. No squeal though.

I never had shims on the stock brakes or with the Carbotechs, I never had any squeal either.

I'd suggest trying them without shims first and if they squeal, then fit the shims and hopefully that will solve it?

i just fitted them today with the shims as they had them on the last set
