Both of these are on mine.

Still love the old 6, but it would have to be mint condition and in black.

Thats a tough choice there .... that 6 looks supreme

I have had a couple of 635s, the second was a highline.

IIRC, the rear suspension was a bit primitive - certainly not as good as my M5s.

Client had a 750 - but I never got to ride in it let alone drive it. Very thirsty and a bit of a money pit for repairs & maintenance. :)

That 6 has already been sold. The 8er.org website works in the same way that we do here, every 850CSi that gets listed on any website for sale anywhere gets talked about heavily in the forums. It is easier to keep track of the CSi's though, there only being 160 RHD's in the world!

So when is Brad's going to be tearing up the tarmac then? :undecided

About 5 years ago I got I got offered a clean 750iL for £1000. it needed new bushes all round, apparently quite normal at 100k miles.. but was clean apart from that, guy selling just couldn't afford the fuel, and was bored with it..

A chap I know bought a 750iL a few years ago, he's since taken the engine out and put it into an E30 3 series with a manual box. I've not spoken to him for about a year but he'd just got it MOT'd last I heard and he was using it to run to work and back.

I'm sure I've seen an article or pics of an E30 with the 5 litre v12 in it. Could be the same car, unless it's been done a few times now..

Here you go, Toby Unner wrote about it in PPC if you read that, I don't know if it's appeared anywhere else.

It is fairly common, people have had the v12 in e34 shells and even in an e36 compact

I remember reading about that... not much room left in the engine bay

What a great job tho, You'd never know what was lurking under the hood... (Needs to get rid of that badge :-)

Hmm, i'm not sure, last time I saw it it was still running on the 318 radiator, which meant it overheated after a certain distance, there were numerous other bodge jobs aswell. The donor car was a complete shed aswell. Of course Darren may have sorted all these issues since I saw it last.

His ad is wrong, it only has 300hp and 332lbft. 400lbft is going to be damned near impossible from any 5 litre engine!

The figure quoted in the advert is correct, Brad.

I presume you've not heard of Brodie Brittain then! :scholar:

420hp from the M70...nahh that won't happen. The CSi has 380hp and compared to the M70 it is 0.6L bigger, has a higher compression, much more aggressive cam profiles, tuned for 98 octane rather than 95, etc.

There are a few people on the 8er forums with chips on the CSi's, full exhaust with no cats and they are struggling to hit 420hp! The standard 5.0 V12's go up to about 350hp or so with chips, exhaust, and cams.

You can't seriously think that putting a chip into any n/a car would take it from 300hp to 420hp! To get 420hp you'd need to do a truely massive overhaul of the engine!
