My ayc sensor needs adjusting so at present my AYC amber warning light is on.
My MOT is up shortly.
Is it a fail?
:thinking2

thanks in advance

P.S Probably a stupid question but have pre MOT nerves.

no as the AYC is not required for an MOT , but I would remove the bulb as if the tester can not see it he can not fail it :D

Cool.
Is it a simple task to remove bulb?

Hmmm Not sure.. I know the AYC is not part of the MOT .. But i'm sure that there is something about all of the lights on the dash(that should do /hmmm ) should light up and extinguish at the correct intervals ?? But i maybe wrong..

But as John says.. Should be ok if you pull the bulb and they don't notice :D

This is a useful article to removing the dash surround: http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19553

You can always say (if questioned) that you have deactivated the AYC and resorting to using the rear diff as an open one instead? You would need to pull the AYC fuse to be sure though! Probably a bit too much, TBH - I doubt you'll get asked.

Didn't you have a switch off me a while ago???.............If so just unscrew the adjuster by a couple of turns. That'll get rid of the light.

Cool.

Still not had time to come back to you guys and get the switch adjusted.

Yep that was me :D
I'm a little loathed to do that purely because it's been a real pain to setup.
Ben's quite a way away from me and each time it's been setup perfectly then two days later the light pops back on. So I assume it's small adjustments now - hence not wanting to back it off all the way.

I think that made sense (it did in my head) lol

Damn it... is it beer o'clock yet?
