Can't really tell from that engine bay picture, but it looks like the crumple zone on the inner wing has buckled a bit. Look at the strut brace plates. On the inner wing, there's a crumple zone both sides just a bit behind there.

When it's okay, it should look like here - Look alongside the ABS fuse at the back and you can see a small strip of inner wing with two seam seal beads there:

Looking at the external damage, I would be surprised it it had buckled though.

What worries me more is the knock to the B-Pillar.

too much!!! ive got a fail lift lined up for nearly 1/2 that!! End of the day its no longer fit for use, crumple zone is gone like k said and b pillar is fooked so IMO not safe for use again, breaker only.

I like how hes trying to call it a super to get more for it tho, should i educate him???

Am I right in saying those engines go for £6-700 alone?

Maybe it'd fit in mine :)

Maybe it'd fit in mine :)You would be right & the recaro seats would go for around £500. That's £1200 for a kick off.

Just a pitty I dont have the extra cash or I'd have it & break it cause its not that far from me eather.

it is pretty disheartening to hear all this talk of breaking every damaged car that appears on here when this is supposed to be a club promoting these cars, not using them as a money spinner. Maybe it is unrepairable but I do not think you can tell just by looking at the pictures on ebay. But with tha amount of good cars being broken on here I do not think it would make any difference.

The value of your car goes up for every one that gets broken :D

lets face it the car aint worth jack in its current condition and with more and more of these cars being imported because we are over the magic 10 year mark now no sva test the values will only go down the only market now is breaking these cars were most pfl owners wana update upgrade parts recaro's, ecu , hub carriers and other need cheap parts for repair just the way it is so if a couple of cars bight the bullet to keep the rest of us going then so be it

Most that get broken are FOOBAR, there are exceptions of course but the 3 Ive got/getting are buggered. The silver one the engines knack'd and the car is rotten, The 2 fail lifts have been in BIG accidents and im not entirely sure what is salvageable (kinda hope i get a manual conversion atleast!!) But as has been pointed out these are 10 year old RARE cars and unfortunately the best way to keep the good ones going is by splitting the not so good ones.
