Over the last week few days I have given the front end a bit of a renew:)

The grill, Mitsubishi & VR4 logo's have been resprayed and the plastic mesh has been replaced with wire mesh. The front bumper has been clayed, polished with a cutting agent to remove some over spray from the previous owner and the finished with and resin polish and wax, the plastic mesh was also replace with wire mesh.

the mitsi logo looks good in red. i don't know why they stopped doing it red they used to use it back in the 80's and it look great. you put the VR4 logo higher up, not that works, but personal taste at the end of the day. the rest look very good too really clean and shiny.

i did mine in red to match the VR4 badge some time ago, but i did mine with a red reflective tape and then clear coat on top of that. they really pop when head light shine on them in the dark. but i should really redothem in gold to match the wheels just got to pick the right paint.

Yeah the red really looks good in person, interesting about the reflective tape..... Might look into that.... The red also works with the rest of the car colour scheme.....

i quite like the fact that all the other Mitzi models had a red diamond :3d: . but the VR4 being a different animal to the rest of the fleet had a beige diamond logo

How did you removed the plastic mesh from the 2 vents by the mitsi logo?

You need to cut this out, the mesh in front of the intercooler unclips and a couple of screws, but the mesh in the grill either side of the mitsubishi logo need to be cut out at they are moulded into the grill.........

A skill saw and sand and you should be cool........

Did you pull off the bumper to do the bottom section? I want to also tidy up all the paintwork on the intercooler, if so how hard is it to pull off the front bumper.

I left the bumper on, however the job isnt really completed fully....... I have an intercooler that I may be fitting in the not to distant future so I decided to leave the bumper and finish off properly once the intercooler is ready.......

But saying that the bumper isnt to tricky to remove, but you have to remove the grill between the lights, this simply un clips (use a very small screw driver to press the little buttons and it should pull straight off). Both lights then need to be removed in order to expose all the clips for the bumper. ...... there are also a couple of screws in the corners where the lights, side panels and bumper meet, these are the trickiest to remove as it gets fairly tight under there...... there is an article on where all the clips and so on are located.........

Some members have had the bumper off in ten -20 minutes...... others have taken much longer..........
