Hey, why not? I used to have a V8 speedboat :-b it was feckin' MAD! :eek: 5.7 litre inboard Chevy in a 16ft boat. Very scary (mostly because we had very little clue what we were doing :rolleyes: ). It died when it flipped over at about 30kn when we opened the throttle and the engine torque (and maybe an unlucky wave) turned the boat over :help: :sad3:

anybody been to thialand and seen the guys who work the dock area hurtling around in whats not much more than a canoe, with a 3tr v8 bolted on the back of it. we used them as divers to check the ships hull (because none of us would get in the water) they used a garden hose and a pump as breathing apparatus with a set of swimming goggles and a nose clip. Now that is nuts

I've got a v8 chevy in my boat-- 23ft does 30knts no probs. But its thirstier than my vr4!!!!!!! As to chainsaws I use 'em every day, trusty jonsereds not v8 tho'
