View Full Version : Does it exist? Rear bumper inserts/heat shields

I'm customizing the rear bumper of the (PFL) Legnum. I'm mixing both a facelift with a pre-facelift bumper, making it quite a bit lower. Now I'm contemplating on a quad-square tip exhaust that I'd like to have in the curved area of the new bumper.

Something like this (sorry, not sure who's VR4 I've photoshopped, but it was just a great, clean rear side picture of a PFL Legnum!).

What I'm looking for (but yet unable to find) are heat-shields that form a nice surround + protection from the exhaust heat. It's kind of the idea like these Honda's have:

Anyone know if or where I can buy my idea of the bumper surrounds/heat shield-ish things? Or ideas how to create such surrounds?

you could always go for say a 3" square tip for the exhaust and then use a 4" sqware tip to line the bumper with, not too sure if it would work visually though.

or just mount the square tips in the bumper like you have shown in the first pic and leave the exhaust to finish inside the bumper like the honda so if you look form behind you can see the round exhaust just floating inside the square tip. Just like the honda.
