The dawn of a new era

Following on from my car theft thread (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48294)

I am pleased to announce my latest addition to the Ingletor stable. It's a 1998 "Super" VR-4 Legnum in silver. It also comes with a 10 CD changer and double-DIN stereo.

It has done 103 000km and has Recaro front seats and a Momo steering wheel and also the towhook cover! The only thing missing is the front bumper's canards - a minor moan. Unusually, it also has twin exhausts but are nice and discreete (stock looking) but also gives the car a pleasing sound - better than my old white Legnum. It also has PIAA windscreen wipers all round.

It's getting its cambelt and water pump + tensioners replaced and I'll be picking it up on either Friday or Saturday. I have also taken out 3 years worth of mechanical warranty so in the event that the AT does blow up, it can be repaired.

Yet another recommendation for BuyRight in Manukau - they came and collected me, I drove the car back and then they provided me a loaner car to return home. All of their staff were courteous and friendly - definite thumbs up from me!

The only real downer about the car is the wheels which I'll need to replace ASAP. Will post up pics as soon as they become available.

Congrats on staying with a VR4. I don't reckon those wheels would be too bad if you lowered to a better height. REALLY looking forward to more pics of that twin exhaust setup, looks pretty good from that one photo (much better than Brads, but don't tell him that lol).

When did you pick it up? I saw it at about 1pm Friday parked up outside buyright, me and a mate who used to have a very nice VR4 were laughing at the wheels, but we both drooled over it regardless. Do want!
