crack in radiator ?

On servicing the vr4 yesterday i noticed my coolant was empty . so i filled up took it for drive to get it nice and hot and i found the problem.

A crack in the plastic an inch below the rad cap.

question is can the plastic be replaced / fixed or is it new rad :angry:

they all seem to crack there! it is a design fault.

but i think you can pick a new one up for about £100 you will have to hunt for the threads that name the companies to go for and check ebay as well, i think you need a 25mm thick core if it is an auto make sure the rad has the auto box oil cooler in it as the manual rads don't, or if you don't want any hunting around and need it now then there is camskill for £175

LOL mine just happened a week ago..exact same spot......mines probably a few inches wider....dam...i have a new one on the way, i dont know if you saw my recent post http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48451 but that is the one i got...alot of people are buying pretty much the same one..

any good rad shop can put new ends on a rad for small enough money
