Right, here we go:
I had an opportunity to get from JDM car breakers some sort of Alpine equipment, not tested.
I have CVA-1005R and brain CVA-C800 plus other bits: CDA-9812R, NVE-N077PS. So far did check CDA player and it works.
My questions:
1. Problem with testing CVA-1005R: does one need a data cable connected with brain unit to power up? I have only 4-pin power cable (dimmer, battery, ground), and unit don't response.
I assume that I need data cable to hook up with CVA-C800, as brain unit has all ISO harness and aerial input. But anyone can share some wisdom?
2. Has anyone tried Alpine maps in other EU countries? How good quality are they? I need especially PL, CZ, SK, D, A. So most important form me is Central Europe coverage. Couldn't get any sensible info from web.
