Hi all,

Well I'm not really a newbie, but wasn't sure where else to put this thread! I have been a member on here for just over 2 years, but After having previously owned a 1997 Legnum VR4 Car Of The Year Edition (found here (http://ozvr4.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1461)) and having a year away from ownership I'm back into a VR4.

The car has been purchased via Ironchef Imports, and landed in AU on April 30. Its going through our compliance process at the moment and I'm hoping it will be on the road at the end of the month. Anyway, specs of the car are:

1998 Mitsubishi Legnum VR-4 Type S Recaros and mods!
6A13TT 2.5 litre twin turbo V6
5 speed tiptronic
54,000km (with books, AA certified)
Trigger Mauve
Factory option Recaro seats
Factory option Momo Wheel

AND it comes with a nice little mod list by the previous owner in Japan which consists of:
Cusco front/rear strut bars
Cusco rear sway bar
EVO V Brembos
EVO V Wheels
Lowered Springs
3" exhaust
Koyo Radiator
Koyo Stainless Radiator Overflow Bottle
Cusco FMIC Hard Pipe Kit
HKS Mushroom Pod (to go ASAP)
Oil catch can
Blitz boost guage
Blitz Dual DC Turbo Timer
Blitz Dual SBC (EBC)
Defi(?) style A pillar gauges
Super VR4 Shifter (in addition to factory recaro/momo combo)
Aluminium pedals

Seems the owner was a Blitz / Cusco fan! :)

The first step when the car gets to AU will be off to MV Automatics here in adelaide to have the Planetary Gearset pins welded in place and the Wave Spring replaced, so trans should then be ready for years of worry free motoring, then will just enjoy the car as is I would say. Here are some pics:

You've also got orange corners - Suggesting you've got glass headlamp units. That's a good upgrade as they throw light much better than the standard Jap Polycarb ones.

Nice. Bit of a pity about the pod. Will the hard pipes not get in the way of the standard airbox?

I'm hoping to fit a factory air box in as one of the first mods I do. Fingers crossed I can make it fit with the hard pipes, if not I will look to move the Pod closer to the front of the vehicle on a custom piece of hard pipe, away from the MAF and enclose it there.... will see once the car is in my hands

If they are cusco hardpipes, they should work with the std cold air box in there..

I like it. You need to keep your eyes open for some clear lense indicators to remove the orangeness though, IMO. There is a nice list of mods there isn't there?! :D /yes
