As the tyres are almost slick (18k on Yoko A460's), it seems a good time to look at putting a set of 17" on.

Could folk let me know If there is anything I need to watch when choosing/fitting said new rims?

The question probably gives-away my ignorance in this matter so please be gentle!!

17's should be fine, you might lose a bit of comfort over the standard 16's tho - uk sports came with 17's so shouldnt be any probs

you'll need to get the right tyre size to keep your speedo in check - there was a thread about this somewhere previously - do a search and you should find it! ;)

See this thread (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3031) for the tyre size calculator.

Most people go for 225/45 17. If you are looking for brand new then the supplier should check everything! If you are buying second hand then do a search on 'pcd' which should throw up all you need to know.

Agree with Nick - My 225/45 17 are great. Some people moved to 18" and regretted it as being too hard.

my 18"s are all good tho i had to roll my guards up coz it was scraping against my tyres but all good now, no scrapes or nothing :D
