How much heat is generated in the wiring thru heatsink from the 02 sensor in the Zorst /Hmmm

Reason being is i've just cut off a duff wideband sensor(Been naffed for about 2 months :( ) and have solder up the wires to a new 1 /yes

But i'm wondering if normal insulation tape is up to the job ? I've stagered all the joints so none are opposite each other, but wondered about the heat. The joins are approx 12" from the sensor..

TIA

How far from o2 plug will be connection Glenn?
You may try this: self made blade shield on o2 plug (U-like shape plate with hole for plug sensor, y'know...), and connection as far as possible off sensor, i.e. 15cm hooked vertically to floor? Some teflon, phenolic tubular insulation is available in a diy electric store.
IMHO it will do a job.

12in is far enough. IMO, you can exclude heat soak thru the wires, only one heat soak you will struggle is that from pipes.
Heat wrap on downpipe + wire heat insulation as mentioned above?

Glenn, if it's that far away from the sensor it will be inside the car. Won't be no probs at all.
