Would someone be able to tell me the part number of the bearing that fails with the manual gearboxes please? as im a little confused with what part it actually is cheers /lol
uh.. which bearing? there has to be literally dozens of bearings in any given gearbox. You may be thinking of the input shaft bearing but I'm not 100% sure if that's the bearing that 'fails with the manual gearboxes'.

It is the input shaft bearing MD746715, from memory they are an NTN 6306 variant. IMHO $100 from the dealer is worth it to be sure, I have one waiting to be fitted along with a genuine input shaft seal.
you can get it from saeco(sp) for $40

Thats the one, the input shaft bearing. Having the clutch out soon and wanting to have it done aswell. whats the symptoms of the input shaft bearing failing?
there arnt any, it just goes,
when it does it will sound like its grinding until you push the clutch pedal down, then the sound will disappear
