i ordered a k&n but they had no in stock so they sent me an ufi filter , when i got it thougt it wider..around 1cm wider, i talked to tim there and he said they send these out all the tiem and have not had any body say the same.
the model is 23.16.00
has anybody else had this filter and been okay?

It can't get too much wider but 1 cm would probably be okay. The main thing is the diameter of the rubber sealing ring and the screw thread.

they were good, they refunded the cost of the filter and said keep it, i'll go to my local motorfactors and get one to comapre to, as i don;t want to take off the one i have..and be left buggered..
i don;t really want to take the filter off nick..its that nice amsoil one you fitted on /GJ

well brought a filter just in case from local motofactors..and it was soo small..luckly the one from opieoils fitted ,
used some forte engine flush and ran it for a good 30-40 mins, and when it drained ...the word midnight black best describes the amsoil 0w-30 that was in there, and i'm not a hard drive by any means, i think the engine flush did the trick.
car is running nice and smooth even idles lower now and no tappet noise .:)
