27.4 mpg with a bust flexi

did a trip to the beach today and filled up on the way and did same on the way back.when i work it out i did 27.4mpg just wondering would i have done much better if my flexi pipe wasnt blowing?

possibly as the oxygen sensor is fitted in the downpipe after the flexi sections.
