TCL problem

TCL problem.

ECU error code 71 : vacuum valve solenoid.

I 've been told that this is just a matter of cleaning the solenoid from dirt.
Anyone knows where the solenoid is situated? Any pics would be very
helpfull.

If u are looking at ur car from straight on u will see the window wiper motor (black cylinder thing, same height as the chassis number on the right side near the black box with 2 ASC markings on it) to the left of that is a grey cylinder. On the same bracket that the grey cylinder is on there are 2 valve that are black, one above the other. They have a hose going into each one from one end and one plug from the other end.

Could try checking that the plugs are connected correctly, i found that was my problem i had. give the wires a bit of a wiggle to check if they are ok as well.
